Lots of family history, in this place. On my father’s side, a hometown manufacturing business that employed nearly 500 persons (Scorpion Snowmobiles) and on my mother’s side, the area’s only locally owned iron ore mining company (Zontelli Brothers). Each fueled a long-ago economy that now serves as the backdrop to a thriving mountain bike community. My great-grandparents immigrated to this region, from both Sweden and Italy, and I am proud to call this place my home away from home. Proud to contribute to the story, with Sagamore Reserve. A destination that has sooooo much to offer. A place to getaway and enjoy the silence of a forest that is adjacent to a state park. Ride-in, Ride-out access to award-winning mountain bike trails. A crystal clear mine lake that attracts everyone from scuba divers to paddle boarders and fishermen. All within a ten minute drive from historic downtown Crosby with coffee shops, restaurants, breweries and ice cream shops. Growing up, this area was referred to as the “antique capital of the world” but its recently taken on a new vibe with its booming mountain biking community which has taken the area by storm. We’re so excited to host everyone from out-of-town bikers to friends and family who are looking for a fun weekend away. If you’d like to follow along on this new journey @perryjamesphoto and I are embarking on... follow @sagamorereserve where we’ll be sharing all the behind-the-scenes over the next few months. Seriously... I can’t wait to share more details with you guys!
